Natural Beauties
When we talk about the natural beauty of this small but charming place, it is important to highlight the crystal clear blue sea, more specifically the two seas located in the very north of the village, namely Karinsko and Novigradsko, which are connected by the Vozarica canal.

On the southern side of the coast of the municipality of Novigrad, there is a small town of the same name, whose uniqueness lies precisely in the fact that it was built on the remains of the 13th century fortress Fortica. The population of this famous small town began in the Bronze Age, which is also evident from its legacy, primarily sacred.

Fishing is one of the main activities in this area, but aquaculture is also known, the aim of which is to improve the gastronomy of this region, the specialty of which are Novigrad mussels. In the summer months, they are suitable for fishing, where good ‚bokuni‘ fish can be found in almost every fishing net, and mussels are also harvested, which, apart from their nutritional value, are a delicacy that almost everyone loves. In addition to being a gastronomic specialty, they are also known for their health benefits, because they are a boon for thyroid problems due to their abundance of iodine. You definitely have to try that meaty conch encased in a black shell!
There are three most famous recipes for mussels in Novigrad – mussels on the buzara, mussel risotto, mussels in gnocchi salad.
